Arts & Culture

Ready to take your hand-spinning game to the next level or just want to play with new-to-you techniques? This is the class for you! Join us for an exploration of various hand-spinning methods, plying options, and fiber preparations.
The class is a two-session class. In the first class you'll learn about worsted, woolen, and long draft spinning. We'll also cover the first step of fractal spinning. The second class covers plying your fractal spinning, adding embellishments as you ply, and differences between 2-ply, chain-ply, and 3-ply.

We designed this simple wooden swift to operate with just enough tension on the yarn for fast winding that won't get out of control. It's completely adjustable and will handle even the largest skeins in our shop. Paradise Fibers carrying bag included.
