Hi! I'm Chef Cynthia Monroe, aka Chef C. As a passionate culinary enthusiast, my food and cooking philosophy is simple: create flavorful, delicious food that revolves around sustainability, minimal food waste, and supporting local communities. I believe in the power of mindful ingredient procurement, sourcing locally whenever possible to reduce our carbon footprint and promote the vibrancy of regional agriculture. With a commitment to sustainability, I aim to create delicious meals that not only satisfy the palate but also contribute to a healthier planet.

I am a dedicated culinary instructor at NEWTech Prep, and I'm committed to sharing my knowledge and skills by teaching my Junior and Senior high school students how to cook with a focus on sustainable practices. I work in tandem with ProStart where I travel to judge student culinary competitions, and I strive to share my wealth of culinary information with anyone who will listen.

Through my culinary journey, I aspire to inspire a greater awareness of the impact our food choices have on the environment and foster a community that values both exceptional flavors and responsible consumption. With that, I have created a company called LocaVore PNW to bring together chefs, restauranteurs, local farmers, and foodies in the region. We share recipes, ingredients, and sustainability practices in hopes that we can create "Deliciousness with a Conscience."
