Confident Expectations Counseling is a small, locally & woman owned private practice. We accept the following insurances (Premera health insurance (Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Anthem, Regence & Lifewise), United Healthcare/UMR, Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser PPO, and First Choice Health/Pacific Source plans, Asuris and Tricare/TriWest and can directly bill those health insurance plans. We are currently in-process to become credentialed with WA State Medicaid) and offer both in-person (North Side Spokane) & telehealth sessions.

Who We Serve: A great fit client may be someone who... is a highly sensitive human, needing to implement boundaries but unsure how, has unrelenting negative self-talk, feels stuck, believes they should be past an event, but is having trouble moving beyond, experienced parental emotional neglect, who finds perfectionism and/or high achieving/high functioning unsustainable, who has adoption/attachment trauma, experienced religous trauma, who is impacted by ADHD, and/or needs more than a listener.

Therapeutic Approach: I utilize a compassion-focused, attachment lens when conceptualizing how best to approach therapy and guide healing. I believe understanding is a key to mindset/behavioral change and support clients to discover their truth and make choices based out of self-trust and believing that they know what's best for themselves. I view clients as the expert on their life and circumstances and I am tasked with supporting your growth and goals. In therapy, we can wade through the muddy waters and find clairty, discover and name our needs, search for meaning & purpose, and deeper understanding of self . Personal growth is/feels safe when we are believed and validated. In life we navigate complex relationships, past wounds and attachment ruptures while attempting to be present, love-well, and hold space for others. Therapy can be a tool that helps us through difficult seasons and allows us the space to process the things in our rear-view mirror or the present, while forging ahead.
