Kindling Productions is a Spokane-based dance production company founded in 2023 by BIPOC artists and producers CarliAnn Forthun Bruner and Monica Mota. Dedicated to igniting creativity and opportunity in the Inland Northwest, Kindling provides professional-level performance experiences for adult dancers and choreographers. The company curates high-quality, accessible productions that celebrate collaboration, inclusivity, and artistic excellence.

Signature programs include Rising Tide: A Collaborative Evening of Dance—which highlights the voices of local female choreographers—and 12 Minutes Max Spokane, a performance lab for new and experimental work by regional artists. Each event nurtures Spokane’s creative ecosystem by offering paid opportunities, audience engagement, and platforms for emerging and established artists to share their work.
